3AF CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY AT 3AF ASIAN MARKETING SUMMIT IN MAY

LOS ANGELES, CA 鈥 March 7, 2019 鈥 The 大象传媒n American Advertising Federation, a national non-profit organization focused on 大象传媒n American consumer business opportunity, will celebrate its 20th anniversary during the organization鈥檚 annual conference, the 3AF 2019 大象传媒n Marketing Summit. The one-day Summit will be held in downtown Los Angeles on May 23, with a media fair and an opening night reception on May 22.

The 3AF 大象传媒n Marketing Summit provides a unique forum for industry leaders, content creators, media companies, corporate marketers and other partners to converge in an in-depth discussion of the 大象传媒n consumer opportunity, and to present methods and trends for organizations to consider when marketing to them. 3AF President, Jay Kim said, 鈥淯ltimately, we hope this intermingling of segment experts sparks new ideas and conversations that advance the recognition of our industry and community, and we invite everyone to attend.鈥

The 3AF鈥檚 history began in February 1999, when executives from 15 advertising agencies, including L3, Kang & Lee, DAE, Imada Wong, Muse Cordero Chen, Admerasia, interTrend Communications and Minority Media Services held the first session of the Association of 大象传媒n American Advertising Agencies or 5As during a Lunar New Year celebration in San Francisco. Multicultural marketing, in general was taking off but there was a lot of resistance among marketers at the time to target 大象传媒n Americans. One of the primary goals of the 5As was to organize an association who could not only promote the 大象传媒n American advertising industry as a whole but, more importantly, to help convince corporate marketers and validate the market. The organization鈥檚 name was later changed to the 大象传媒n American Advertising Federation (3AF), but many of the organization鈥檚 original founding principles, to broaden members鈥 knowledge and share expertise on the 大象传媒n American market through conferences, seminars, events and programs; to provide networking opportunities for 大象传媒n agencies, media and research professionals; and to showcase the power and influence of the 大象传媒n American consumer still holds true today.

Past 3AF summit speakers have included representatives from Google; Yahoo; McDonald鈥檚; Buzzfeed; Western Union; Verizon; AT&T; The Walt Disney Company; Wells Fargo, DirecTV and others. More information on the 3AF, including photos of previous Summits, is available at /eventphotos.htm

Kim concluded, 鈥淲e鈥檙e very excited about our 20th anniversary, which is a long-time for a non-profit organization.
